I am a Florida resident. I've been married a 100 years to the same wonderful guy who thankfully is not Irish. And we all know that Irish people are not given to exaggeration.
Our five children are further up the success ladder of life than we are, and because of their achievements, we finally noticed the ladder.
During these hundred years, my husband watched enough Travel and Discovery channel television to allow me to complete several novels.
My education consists of hours and hours in the trenches of marriage survival, child rearing and writer's block. Since this web page exists, I must have survived marriage, motherhood and manuscript completion.
I have published a few articles in magazines, written a column in our local newspaper for a period of time, and published items in our international church newspaper. I have Backyard Burial as my first published mystery novel to my credit.
Flicker of Freedom (working title) is soon to be published by Sapphire Blue Publishing.
I have several other novels hanging out in the wings awaiting daylight.
My mystery novel, Dangerous World, came in second in the 2008 Royal Palm Literary Award Contest for unpublished mysteries.
I also finaled in the Cape Fear Short Story Contest, listed among the top eight of their entries, for 2005. This story is published in their Chapbook.
I belong to the Florida Writer's Association, the Florida Writer's Association, Christian Writer's Group, the Florida Writer's Association, Mystery Writer's Group, and the Gainesville, Florida, Writer's Group. They try to keep me on track, which is a major project.
